Wedding Photography style

Our two principal photographers have been trained in different styles of photography - fashion photography and the world of the 'paparazzi' - our wedding photography packages reflect their styles.

Which style is better? That decision is up to you, but here are a few of the main differences to the two styles:

Our photo journalistic principal photographer will cover your wedding day similar to how a magazine photographer would cover any other event - by observing and capturing the highlights mainly using high speed black and white images with minimal formal poses. Our Expressions package.

Our fashion principal photographer will cover your wedding day with a series of picture perfect poses. This approach requires our photographers to 'guide' the bride & groom and manipulate many of the day's events. This style requires more time for our photographers to do their job and needs to be catered for when planning the wedding day. Our Renaissance package.

Final Product:

Our fashion style storybooks contain well lit and seemingly perfect portraits and formal group shots of each phase of your wedding day in striking full colour and moody black and white images.

Our photo journalistic style storybooks contain a sequence of images from moments throughout your day which give a story-like meaning to the book.

Both styles will produce spectacular results and you may favour one style over the other, the choice is yours. However if you wish to have the best of both styles we created a third package called our Harmony package.

The Storybooks

Beautiful and superbly crafted 'real' book-bound storybooks. The pages, the printing and the binding is outstanding and although there are alternatives out there, they are just pale imitations when compared to our stunning creations.

Comprising of 42 pages packed with the story of your wedding day, available in three distinct sizes (depending on package purchased) with the option to buy dust covers, slip-cases and bespoke wooden boxes to protect your precious memories for all eternity.

All our storybooks are delivered in black presentation boxes complete with red ribbon ties.

Pre-wedding shoot

When you hire The Bright Image we offer you both a free pre-wedding photo shoot.

Why? - We need to know how you will react in front of the camera, you need to know what to expect on your wedding day.

Your shoot will last about 1 hour and is great fun. We will teach you how to pose correctly for the style of wedding dress you are going to wear and how to hold your bouquet in the right way for maximum impact.

And on your wedding day, we'll present to you a framed portrait of the shoot as a thankyou for entrusting The Bright Image with your wedding memories.

Venue Visits

Our wedding photographers have been privilaged to photograph at many of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Scotland's top venues, but we haven't been every where. Even if we have photographed at your venue before, we have never photographed you there. To this end it is very important that we arrange a venue visit.

At your visit we'll discuss locations for your photographs, confirm timings and go over any other issues you may have.
